Rosa Villanueva had cleaned houses around Charlotte for eight years when her neighbor, Darnell Price, lost his job in banking. Over a pot of coffee on Rosa's porch, they decided to start a cleaning company that treated both clients and cleaners better than the ones Rosa had worked for.
The name came from Rosa's daughter, who was six at the time and insisted every company needs an animal or a tree. Maple won. Mop was Darnell's idea.
Twelve years later we are still family-run. Rosa still leads crews two days a week, Darnell still answers the phones on Saturdays, and our cleaners still carry dog biscuits.

Rosa and Darnell start cleaning neighbors' homes in Plaza Midwood out of a Honda Fit.

First five employees hired, all W-2 from day one. Deep cleaning and move-outs added.

Carpet and upholstery team launches with a truck-mounted extraction unit.

Office on Central Ave opens. Airbnb turnover service starts around Lake Norman.
